The Cragbodells

The Cragbodells is the sweetest village close to Grazzlethorne and The Magic Wood. This is the home of Gwanfwee the Goblin, who can sometimes be such a naughty chap! He’s very eager to steal Wigan’s spell book because he knows that she’s a very clever young Witch and he believes if he could just take a super quick peek, he might become more powerful himself. If you are quiet enough, sometimes you might notice a stillness around The Cragbodells. This can happen when Gwanfwee has been a little grumpy or grouchy. Everybody recognises that they can all feel this way too, especially if they tend to spend a lot of their time thinking and worrying, so they just give him some peace until he feels a little better. In every shadow is a gift and The Bwackhoe Trees, the gentle Schlocks, the Elves and even the mischievous Pixies can see the gifts in Gwanfwee, no matter how naughty or grumpy he might sometimes seem. This is also the much loved home of the Zanskee Rocks and the Six Witches of The Cragbodells - Rowe, Spord, Solidew, Hazz, Muzz and Hox. They can all appear to be a little naughty on the outside too, but when you get to know them properly, you will find there is always a reason for their actions. They don’t realise yet that everyone is encouraged to make a choice, even if their voice does shake! When you meet any of these colourful characters, there is an invitation to look a little deeper before you judge them as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. The Cragbodells is also well known for the most exquisite sunsets. You will often find a sense of wonderment emerges from the inhabitants as the sun says goodnight and winks at the stars before pulling the blanket over its sleepy head.
